Welcome to AQMCSE 2027!
The 3rd International Conference on Applied Quantum Methods in Computational Science and Engineering (AQMCSE 2027) will be held in Tokyo from November 28 to December 1, 2027. AQMCSE 2027 brings together researchers from academia, industry and government laboratories to evaluate the current status and short-term potential of quantum computing in engineering and computational science. Topics covered include civil engineering, mechanical engineering, advanced manufacturing, materials engineering, applied mathematics, computational fluid dynamics, structural analysis, optimization, materials science, machine learning and cryptography. The AQMCSE series distinguishes itself by focusing on the process rather than just the outcomes, such as applied quantum algorithms, hybrid workflows, and benchmarking against classical methods. We explicitly welcome contributions on practical tips, creative uses of quantum devices, failures, and negative results. During the four-day conference, participants will identify application areas with tangible engineering impacts, define challenging problems, and develop a community roadmap to accelerate quantum-enabled engineering.
These efforts will foster a vibrant community of practitioners dedicated to creating practical, implementable quantum applications for real-world problems.
